‘Witches’ arrive at Center on Halsted Nov. 15

Just because Halloween is over doesn’t mean that there aren’t witches among us. Or, rather, forthcoming musicals about witches among us.
CFP’s own Rick Karlin and collaborator Scott Free will present a staged reading of their new musical “Witches Among Us” at Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted, on Sunday, Nov. 15, from 3-6 p.m. Cast members include Tony Esposito, Stella Stahl, Michael Elder, Gene Hendricks, Joette Waters, Janet Slavin and Pauline Esposito. Free will lead a jazz ensemble for the performance.
Set in the late 1950s, “Witches Among Us” follows a group of New York City witches and warlocks living secretly in Greenwich Village.
After the reading, there will be a wine and cheese reception and a Q&A session with Karlin, Free and director Steve Hickson. Tickets are $10 and support COH’s cultural programming.
